Carnarvon to Cosy Corner

First time in history we are
on the road by 7.30 am!
1st stop is into town to pick up our rim from tyre power.
Oh no!
It could only happen to us!....They don't open till 8am
Oh well!
 Time for a cappachino!

Tyre fitted & it's
 Goodbye  Yucky Carnarvon!
We are heading south to
Beautiful Kalbarri for a couple of days!
When Mark & I
were married 4 years ago
we came to WA for our honeymoon
we flew into
Perth, did Rottnest, Margaret River
 then we went north as far as
 Monkey Mia!
So we have been to Kalbarri before.
We like it!!

We arrived & unhitched the van!
 Hitching & unhitching has now become my job!
Wow!!!...
 I did not realise all that is involved in that process!
Far out chains on, brake off, jockey wheel down,
stabilizers pulled up into place,
Gosh it just goes...
On & On & On!
I am so unco, and I really don't have a clue what
I am doing!
Mark just laughs and shakes his head!

Hahaha!!!
I bet the people looking on think
Wow
That bloke has got his wife trained well!!!
I think by the time we get home
I will be an expert
??????????????????????????

We spent the next couple of  days
sight seeing!
Us in
Natures Window
Beautiful Kalbarri Wild flowers

Rainbow Jungle Birds

Kalbarri's Magical
 Coast Line
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friday morn we set off
for Geraldton
We have our truck booked in for a service on Monday,
so we will spend the weekend doing more sight seeing!
This is fun being on holidays
!!!!!!!
Along the way we stopped off
 @
Port Gregory
 &
her famous pink lake
 Soo Pretty!!!
Port Gregory
Pop...57
One of the locals
Mark was magging to said....Now, when you get home don't
tell anyone about this place!!!
Ooops Sorry Mr...Couldn't help my self!
As we neared Northampton
I said to Mark
this feels like we are driving through the
English Country Side!
Also nearby is a little seaside town of
Horrocks
All very English, I say Ole Chap!!
We are travelling through the mid western wheat belt
 Wow....Wheat  is everywhere!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Geraldton pop 28,000
Self proclaimed....
Lobster Capital of the World!

Mmmm...... We'll be the judge of that!
The best Lobster we have ever eaten came
fresh from the docks in
Hobart!!!
I don't think any lobster in the whole world
would ever taste better than a
Tassie lobster!!!

We arrived & booked into our park
which just so happens to be right on the ocean!
This is good!!!!

The next couple of days were taken up with....
Car service, local markets, museum, movies, retail therapy,
walks around
Geraldton & the continuing hunt for good seafood!

Geraldton Marina
Silly Old Men!!!

HMAS
 Sydney Memorial
645 Seagulls representing those lives lost

Yummo!

Oh that reminds me.........Back to the Lobster!!!

We drove around the Marina
 thinking this would be where we will find our feast!
Well it is just not happening!!
There is one seafood Co-op, get this
 he had nothing but frozen everything
except for fresh banana prawns
 which looked terrible with their black heads!!
Not looking so fresh to us!

Mark asked the proprietor about
Lobbies
Ah no the season doesn't open for another week!
Oh Great!!!

We headed for home
along the way we spotted another fish shop
In we go & straight back out we went!
Oh my goodness....The price was ridiculous and the
shop stunk!
Mark said they will always smell it's seafood!

No way...Fish shouldn't stink!!

It is so hard to get good fresh sea food!!
We have decided so far on our trip the best seafood
we have had was in Mount Isa!!
Strange but...TRUE!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We left Geraldton for Perth
I love Perth & it's rail system!
We had the canopy for our truck made here in
Perth & shipped over to us on the east coast!
Mark wants to call in to Bull Motor Bodies & have
 a chat with Simon, the guy we did all our dealings with
whilst it was being made.
So funny on our whole trip we have only ever seen one other
Bull Motor Body & that was in Derby!
Well we just hit Perth & already we have spotted three
just as I put my pen down there goes another!
They are not so rare here!
Now that is one good looking body!
All Bull!
We booked into our park and this time
Yeeha!!!
We have a drive thru site!!!
Oh yes no un~hitching or re~hitching!!!
What a beautiful Park....Karrinyup 14kms nth of Perth
Next Morn we dropped in to Bull & from
there we headed just outside
Donnybrook to spend the night with our
Lovely  Friends we did
Cape York with last year
Donnybrook
Apple Country!
What a quaint lovely town!!
Not far up the road is
Gnomes ville
Caravaning Gnomes!
Shirley Gnomes
 As far as the eye can see Gnomes rule!!!
What started with a few have multiplied to
 plague proportions & growing!!!!
After a beautiful dinner few drinks & lots of laughs with
our friends it was off to bed......
Tomorrow will see us nearing
Esperance.
We were on the road by mid morning,
we stopped off  along the way @
Picturesque  Bridgetown
for a snack
Today is really wet and miserable!!!
Rain.... Wow, this is something we have not seen for
so so long, it is nice for a change!!!
Back in the comfort of the car we set again
What a beautiful drive down this coast
so pretty are the
Valleys, Vineyards, Orchards, Forrest's
&
Quaint Townships
A most beautiful enjoyable drive!
We made a stop off near Denmark
@
Bartholomew's Meadery
Wow!!!...What a top little shop
All sorts of honey on the tasting table
which we got straight into!
After about 5 minutes the bee keeper came in?
I asked him what is a meadery?
Wine made with honey!
Well that is different!!!
 I have never heard the word before?
But
that would not surprise !!!
I said to Mark.......
 So have you ever heard of a Meadery?
No his reply....Oh that's a comfort to know
we are both dumb bums!!
Ahh you learn something new every day & seeing
as it has to do with one of my favorite things this is
Good!!!
After a taste test of some of their wines I was sold!!!
Yummo!!
On the road again and as it is now getting late
It's time to find somewhere to camp for the night!
I punched into the navman the coordinates for a
free camp just out side of Albany called
Cosy Corner
As we neared the entrance we were greeted by this most fantastic view!!!
We drove around into this lovely tree lined area
with the beach right beside us!
WOW!!
We could not believe our eyes as we jumped out of the car
Magic views across this lovely bay!
Yep this is a goodie.....I am very proud of myself
 at picking great free camp spots around oz
and this so far would be the the best!!!
Funny though, I said to mark how come no one else is here??
There is another cosy corner, but it is only for day use!
Oh well ...It's lucky us on a rainy snugly night
