UP UP & AWAY

Time to pack up & head off today.......In the month we have been here in Townsville, it has not rained & most days were beautiful, well you wouldn't read about it, last night it absolutely poured & that means we are now packing up in the wet!....Yuck, but i must say, it is much better to pack up a van in the rain, than to pack up a tent!
We have now decided to take the telegraph track to the tip, our friends we made in Bowen know people going up there also, so we are going to tag along with them....Should be fun & that way we will have back up! Which is handy, as we really don't know what we are doing!
Mark was reading in his 4x4 mag that some idiots decided to take possession of the famous sign up there!!....Hopefully when we get there it has a new one, or otherwise i will have to make our own!
I feel this next month is going to be so full of adventure & a ton of fun!!
Cant wait to see all those beautiful falls, creeks, rivers, pubs, stunning landscapes, unusual people & of course the big one........ Crocodiles!!!!
Time to get this show on the road......Goodbye Townsville!
Cape York here we come!

  2. Hi Sharon,
Thought I'd check your progress, great to see your still loving the trip, even if your are travelling with a big sook!!!
I hear it's the best croc season ever recorded at the cape, should allow you to sleep very soundly. I suppose you will have an odd night in the tent to get up close & personal with those scaly critters (I don't mean Mark)
    Keep laughing
