Monday day 1
Husband picked me up from work @ 2.30 & off we set for Lake Munmorah
After sending our tenant ( let's call him The Bum )
his eviction notice because of failure to pay his rent & also threatening
our elderly neighbour plus a list of other things!
It was now time to go back home clean up & re rent our home out & maybe have to
kick The Bum out if he has not already gone??
We didn't give him notice we were coming!
We are legally allowed to take over property as we were concerned it was not secure!
We had a dinner & diesel stop along the way!
We arrived home about 7.30pm
The first thing to greet me were bloody fleas jumping all over my legs!!!!!
Now this is not a good start!
Out came the Bushmans & we lathered it on!!!!
We knew he had a dog, plus birds, fish, & rabbits!
Even though the lease stated no pets!!!
The Bum is just a big pain in the bum to put it mildly!
He just did as he pleased!
It was the rabbits that broke the straw with the neighbours, they would get into their vege gardens!!!
Anyway time to go inside!
What a disaster every room trashed cupboards in kitchen full of food
crap everywhere!!!
Funny he was always crying poor mouth & here he was leaving all this good food there!
His children's clothes still hanging in the wardrobe!
I feel sorry for his children!
Out side was just like a tip
As it was getting late we decided to set up camp
which was in our big double garage with it's new bathroom we put in for moments like this
Husband is such a good planner he thinks of every thing!!
We ended up putting the tent up so as to keep the fleas of us whilst we sleep
Bed made glass of wine in hand & wow we just sat shaking our heads
wondering where do we begin in the morning!!
We were unsure where to start as The Bum still had one day left of the 2 week eviction notice!
He also told us on the phone he would be out by the 9th of Feb today being the 8th!
We didn't want to go in & start chucking his stuff out & he then come back & sue us!
So we decided to ring the police & see if they could witness what he had!
We were worried he would say that we chucked out a push bike which was worth
$20 & he would make out it was worth $200
After all he is a con man so all the neighbours kept telling us!!
Just as we were discussing this 2 men walked down the driveway
showed us their id...... They were plain clothed detectives
It was funny
I said to them..... You guys don't look like police they laughed!
I then went on to add......Actually you look like shady characters!!!
Anyway they we looking for The Bum, something to do with stolen motor bikes!
He was also dealing drugs from our house one neighbour said that cars would come at all hours of the night someone would jump out go to the door & then get back in the car & take off!
She wrote down every number plate, which she has since given to the police!
Anyway back to the detectives, we told them the story & they witnessed his belongings for us!
I also told them I was going to ring him & find out when he was going to come & collect his stuff?
The policeman asked if I would pass on the time of when he was
coming back so as they could be there to pick him up!
After telling the police the time & day I began to feel very worried!!!
It is going to look very suspicious that the police turn up at the same time he does!
Next minute a car pulls up in the drive way, this dero looking bloke was also looking
for TB he owed him $100
Wow Wee
the plot just keeps getting thicker & thicker!!
Seeing as we had decided to wait till tomorrow for him to come get his stuff,
I decided to start working on the outside gardens which were so neglected!
Mark got on the phone to arrange a
skip bin, pest control, carpet cleaners and a locksmith!
My Beautiful Baby Girl....... lending a hand! x
Dinner......I baked a whole piece of fillet steak in the camp oven.........Yummo this really is a camp out!!!
Wednesday Day 3
Today we got in & stripped the house we put TB's stuff down under the carport
ready for him to collect @ 12 o'clock!
Well 12 o'clock came & no TB the police came though!
I am actually glad he didn't show up.........He is a mad man & I don't trust him!!
I started the cleaning process, thank heavens for jiff & bleach!!!
So time consuming & tiring scrubbing every wall, they were so filthy
I am amazed how fantastic they ended up
they look like freshly painted walls!
Mark said it was his good paint job!!!
My Beautiful Daughter came over to lend a hand!!
All we did was laugh it was so lovely!!
I said to Husband let's stay home now & continue our travels next year
I miss my family!!!
That did not go down well & it would mean a separation & that neither of us want!!
So the plan is to keep going, which I really do love!
It is just so hard & sad when it comes to say
goodbye to family!!
Anyway dinner time & tonight we are ordering Pizza!
I looked at my poor hands & I have rubbed off my finger prints, they are all red blistered & sore!!!!
Time for bed & it is so hot in the garage with the door down & I
keep getting these bloody hot flushes all the time!
I couldn't stand it so I opened the big roller door to let the breeze in!
Well that was not good as I then could not sleep for fear of TB coming around
so I lay there awake most of the night on watch patrol!
Thursday Day 4
Still no sign or word from The Bum!!
More cleaning, mowing & scrubbing !!!!
The pest guy came on day 2 & still there are fleas & cockies running around!
Mark rang him back & said........ Did you forget to put the pesticide in the mix mate!
Anyway he is coming back on Friday!
Carpet cleaners came today but the place still stinks!
This clean up feels like it is never ending, we have the skip bin full plus we booked in for a kerb side pick up..........So much crap!!!
We decided to put our mattress up in the house hopefully we will get a better nights sleep tonight!
Dinner time & tonight I am craving vegetables!!!
Friday Day 5
Today is Painting day
I repainted the kitchen cupboards & bench tops as they were all yellow
Mark & I painted the entry out the front & out the back & generally finished cleaning up!
The pest guy came back & this time flooded the place with pesticide!
I still could not stand the smell of the house, still stinks of dog!!
So when Mark went down the road to get mulch & a few other things I asked him to get some Nil odour, hopefully that will get rid of the doggy putrid smell!
Finally though the house is starting to look good again!!
Dinner tonight is @ The Club!!!!!
Saturday Day 6
Few final finishing touches & she is sparkling & how she use to be!!!
We have decided to put it in the hands of a Real Estate this time, we met with her today & all sounds good!
Time now to head back to Queanbeyan & then it is back to work tomorrow for Sharon!!!
What a week!........Let's hope that is the last of The Bum!!!!!
Here's to good tenants in the future!!!
