Berry Close!!!!!

We could not believe our ears this  morning

We woke to the sounds of raindrops gently falling on our van!!!!

Since our arrival in Darwin on the 18th of May

every day has been nothing but

sunshine, with temps always hovering around 30 degrees!

So this was a sight to behold!!!

Today Mark started a new job

with a local builder across the road from our park.

The first company he started with ran out of work for him & he has been a
man of leisure for the past week or so! 

The other day we were talking about leaving much earlier than expected
but now he has picked up another job we have decided to
 simply take each day at a time!

Last week we did some sight seeing & headed off to

The Territory's Wild Life Park

for a look!

Wow!!!

 We were impressed with this place

 it is huge & there is lots of walking to be done between many of the exhibits

or if you time it right you can hop on their train which takes you around the park!

Our timing was out of whack so we ended up walking!!

Big Big baby...She is only 1yr old!

Well you are a Hoot!!!

Fancy that they live on insects??

The Monsoon attraction was also fantastic!

A Great place & so worth the visit!!!!!

From there we headed out to
Berry Springs for a picnic lunch & a dip in their pools!

After our lunch we walked down to the Springs, very pretty place!

As we were walking down i spotted those ever present signs!!!!

We passed this couple who were leaving,
 I said to them.... Did you see any Crocs?

Oh no!
 There are no crocs in there, the lady said confidently!
I quickly added.....
The sign up there says different??

She then said to me....Oh your a bit paranoid! 
(Hahaha...How did she guess i thought !?!?)

Well
 With the sounds of her words filtering through my ears
My head quickly turned & my mouth quickly blurted

Mmmm......Well I Don't Think So!

Anyway enough of you lady!! 

I happily plopped down on the cement & watched mark dive out into the middle

There were lots of people in there and
My Funny Husbands parting words were........
 Oh that is good the numbers are up!!!

Hahahaha....meaning he has a good chance of survival!

There is the Croc bait directly in front of the steps

Well he didn't stay in there long,
once he was out, how did i guess what he was going to say next!

Yep just as i thought......So are you coming in??

I don't think so, i am quite happy lazing here!

WELL.....

The look on his face was one of a sad little boy who has no one to play with!!

Again Mark dives in & swims to the middle,

Ha... Your on your own there, were my thoughts!!!

No diving for Shazza,

 I couldn't drag myself away from the steps!

Plus

 I was quite happy standing there letting the little school of fish nibble my feet!

At first it felt so strange and iccky, but after a while I loved it!!!!

Now that was a true 

Pedicure Exfoliating Experience!!! 

Oh no there goes my peace, as

Mouthy man yells out..... Is that as far as you are going in??

Alright then i will stop being a sooky baby & venture out a tad bit further!! 

So i did, I went about a metre away from the edge for a few seconds & 

 let me tell you

that was far enough & long enough for me!!!! 

Why i listen to you Mark gregory is beyond me!!!!!

I could feel crocs in there...

Paranoid you say?????

Mmmmm....Maybe i say?

With our little swim over & both of us

 still alive & kicking

we called it an afternoon & headed off back home!

What a great day out we had!!

But wait there's more....

The next morning Mark goes up to the servo for the paper

to start looking for jobs

As he returned he came in to me & said....

Have a go at this, i still have goosebumps!!

The headlines read

OH MY GOODNESS!

I knew it!!!!!

Well I hope

bought herself a copy of the newspaper this morning!!
